After Snow White's mother dies during childbirth, her father, John, is left to care for her. However, John is unable to cope with the loss of his wife and the responsibility of being a single parent. While out on a hunting expedition, John falls through the ice and is presumed dead, leaving Snow White all alone in the world.
While wandering through the woods, Snow White comes across a group of dwarfs who take her in and care for her. However, when she reaches adulthood, the jealous Queen Elspeth seeks to kill her in order to remain the fairest of them all. Elspeth orders her huntsman to kill Snow White, but he cannot bring himself to do it and instead fakes her death.
Snow White then sets out on a journey of self-discovery, encountering a variety of characters along the way, including a prince, a professor, and a group of bandits. As she explores the world, she grows in strength and wisdom, learning to stand up for herself and fight for what is right.
Meanwhile, back in the kingdom, Elspeth has taken over as Queen and is ruling with an iron fist. However, John returns from the dead and seeks revenge on Elspeth, leading to a final showdown between the two. Snow White also returns to the kingdom and confronts Elspeth, ultimately defeating her and restoring peace to the land.
Throughout the film, John is visited by one of Satan's representatives, who grants him three wishes. In the end, John realizes the error of his ways and uses his final wish to undo the first two, allowing him to live a humble and contented life with his daughter.
