In Snow Buddies, the five golden retriever puppies – Buddha, Budderball, Mudbud, B-Dawg, and Rosebud – accidentally stow away in a delivery truck and end up in the frigid town of Fernfield, Alaska. Stranded in the wilderness without their owners to guide them, the young pups must fend for themselves and find a way to survive.
They soon meet Shasta, a friendly Alaskan Malamute who agrees to guide them to the nearest town. Along the way, they also encounter Talon, a grumpy Siberian Husky, who initially resents the newcomers but eventually becomes a reluctant ally.
As the group navigates through the treacherous terrain, they learn valuable lessons about teamwork, trust, and perseverance. They also discover their hidden skills, such as Budderball's talent for ice-surfing and B-Dawg's ability to manipulate technology.
However, their journey is not without challenges. They must face hungry wolves, icy rivers, and a grueling sled race against Talon's team.
