The story begins with Mykola, a peaceful and eccentric man who lives in a village in the Donbass region with his pregnant wife. When the war breaks out, militants invade the village, kill Mykola's wife and burn down his home. Mykola is devastated and seeks revenge. He decides to join a Ukrainian sniper company to fight the enemy.

Mykola is a skilled marksman and quickly becomes a valued member of the sniper team. However, when he comes face to face with the militants who killed his wife, he is emotionally overwhelmed and loses control. He starts to carry out "sniper terror" on the enemy, killing them without mercy.

Mykola's actions put him and his team in danger, and they are soon caught in a fierce battle with the enemy. Mykola's mentor and friend, the team's instructor, is mortally wounded, and Mykola is forced to confront his own mortality. He realizes the futility of revenge and the importance of sacrificing himself for a greater cause.

The movie is a poignant exploration of the effects of war on ordinary people.
