Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins is a 2021 action-adventure film directed by Robert Schwentke and written by Evan Spiliotopoulos. The movie serves as a spin-off of the G.I. Joe film series and focuses on the character of Snake Eyes, who is played by Henry Golding.

The movie depicts how a young boy named Snake Eyes narrowly escapes a tragic incident that claims the lives of his father and brother. Traumatized by the experience, Snake Eyes grows up to become a skilled fighter and a loner who seeks revenge against those responsible for his family's death.

Along the way, Snake Eyes is rescued by the Arashikage, a powerful and ancient Japanese clan of ninja warriors who take him in and teach him their ways. Under the guidance of his mentor, a wise and experienced ninja master named Hard Master, Snake Eyes trains hard and learns to control his anger, fear, and lust for revenge.

However, as Snake Eyes becomes more involved with the Arashikage, secrets from his past begin to surface, causing him to question his own loyalties. When a dangerous plot threatens the Arashikage and their sacred clan traditions, Snake Eyes must decide where his true allegiance lies and face off against old enemies and new foes to protect his new family and the ones he loves.

In addition to Golding, Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins also stars Andrew Koji, Ursula Corbero, Samara Weaving, Haruka Abe, and Iko Uwais in lead roles. The film was released in theaters on July 23, 2021, and received mixed reviews from critics and audiences alike.
