The movie Smart Cookies is about a high-powered real estate agent named Julie Sterling (Jewel Staite), who is forced to do community service by the courts after being caught using unethical business practices. She is assigned to lead a struggling girl scout troop in the regional cookie drive competition.
At first, Julie is reluctant to work with the girls and views the assignment as a punishment, but she quickly realizes that the troop needs her leadership and expertise to succeed. As she works with the girls, she begins to see the value in volunteering and giving back to the community.
