Small Apartments is a dark comedy film directed by Jonas Ã…kerlund and based on the novel of the same name by Chris Millis. The film follows Franklin Franklin, played by Matt Lucas, a reclusive and socially awkward man who accidentally kills his landlord, Mr. Olivetti, played by Peter Stormare, during an argument. Fearing that he will be arrested, Franklin decides to hide Olivetti's body in his apartment.
As he struggles to keep the body hidden, Franklin is confronted with a series of challenges, including his attraction to a young woman named Simone, played by Juno Temple, who lives in the same building, the sudden death of his beloved brother, and the constant interference of his strange and dysfunctional neighbors.
