Slugs is a 1988 horror film directed by Juan Piquer Simón and based on the novel by Shaun Hutson. The film follows health worker Mike Brady (played by Michael Garfield) as he investigates a sudden increase in mysterious and gruesome deaths in his town. The victims' bodies are found with large, slimy slugs crawling out of their mouths and other parts of their bodies.

Brady suspects that the slugs are the cause of the deaths and tries to convince the authorities, but his theory is dismissed. However, as the body count keeps rising, a visiting slug expert from England confirms Brady's suspicions, and together they try to find a way to stop the killer slugs from spreading.

The film features graphic and gruesome scenes of slugs attacking and killing people in various ways, including crawling into their mouths, eyes, and ears. The special effects, though dated, are still considered impressive by some horror fans.

The film was not well-received by critics but has since gained a cult following for its over-the-top gore and cheesy dialogue. It has been released on DVD and Blu-ray and is available for streaming on various platforms.
