Sleepless is a fast-paced action thriller that takes place in the seedy underbelly of Las Vegas. Vincent Downs, played by Jamie Foxx, is an undercover cop with a dark past and many enemies. His partner, Sean Cass, played by Tip “T.I.” Harris, is not as clean as he seems and is involved with the corrupt police force.
When Downs and Cass steal a shipment of cocaine from a drug lord named Rubino, played by Dermot Mulroney, things go wrong. Rubino demands the return of his drugs, and in retaliation, he kidnaps Downs’ teenage son, T, played by Octavius J. Johnson. Rubino warns Downs that if he doesn’t return the drugs, he will never see his son again.
Desperate to save his son, Downs races against the clock to track down the kidnappers. Meanwhile, an internal affairs investigation is underway, and Downs is being hounded by two IA officers, Bryant and Dennison, played by Michelle Monaghan and David Harbour, respectively.
As Downs navigates the dangerous world of Las Vegas’ criminal underground, he discovers that there are more players involved than he initially thought. He must outwit and outfight a group of ruthless gangsters, including Rubino’s henchmen, and a mysterious nightclub owner named Jennifer Bryant, played by Gabrielle Union.
With non-stop action and unexpected twists, Sleepless is a thrilling ride that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Jamie Foxx delivers a strong performance as the troubled hero, and the supporting cast adds depth and intrigue to this gritty crime drama.
