Kathy is a single mother and new headmaster of a high school in a small town. During her summer vacation, she had a brief and passionate fling with a young man named Ian, who was unaware of her true identity at the time.
When school starts, Kathy is surprised to find that Ian has enrolled in her school as a student. She tries to keep her distance from him but soon realizes that he is targeting her and her daughter Bree.
Ian blames Kathy for the breakup of his family, which he believes ultimately led to his father's death. He sees Kathy and Bree as a way to get revenge and make her pay for what he perceives as her role in his family's downfall.
As Ian's behavior becomes increasingly erratic and dangerous, Kathy begins to investigate his motives. She discovers a web of lies and secrets surrounding his family and realizes that he is willing to do whatever it takes to get what he wants.
Kathy must race against time to protect herself and her daughter from Ian's deadly threats. As the tension rises, she must confront her own past mistakes and find a way to outsmart Ian before it's too late.
