Sleepaway Camp III: Teenage Wasteland is a 1989 horror movie, directed by Michael A. Simpson. The film revolves around the psychotic killer Angela, who is on the loose again and looking for fresh victims. She assumes the identity of a potential camper named Maria and boards the bus headed to Camp New Horizons, where the yearly summer camp is being held.
The campers are divided into two groups based on their social class: the rich and privilaged group and the working-class group. Angela/Maria cunningly manipulates the campers and instigates conflict between the two groups. She also uses her position to lure her victims away from the others, one by one.
With the help of her camp advisers, Angela continues to kill unsuspecting campers in brutal and grotesque ways. As the body count rises, the remaining campers begin to suspect that something is not quite right with their new friend, Maria.
The film culminates in a final showdown between Angela and one of the remaining campers, Cindy, who has figured out her true identity. The film ends with a chilling twist that reveals Angela's true motivation for her murder spree.
Sleepaway Camp III: Teenage Wasteland is known for its gory scenes and dark humor. It is the third installment in the Sleepaway Camp franchise and is considered by many fans to be one of the best sequels.
