In Slashers, the six American contestants are flown to Japan and put through a series of gruesome and deadly challenges, all broadcasted live to a massive audience. These challenges are designed to test the limits of the contestants' physical and psychological endurance, and are set in environments such as haunted houses, abandoned hospitals, and dark forests.
The contestants quickly realize that the show's producers have rigged the challenges to make sure that at least one contestant is killed in each round. As the competition becomes more intense, the contestants must use their wits and survival skills to outsmart the Slashers, a group of masked individuals who are hunting them down and trying to kill them.
Each of the six contestants has their own backstory and motivation for participating in the show, which adds an element of personal drama to the already tense and bloody competition. As the body count rises and the remaining contestants become increasingly desperate, alliances are formed and trust is broken as they fight to stay alive and win the grand prize.
Slashers is a fast-paced and gory thriller that explores the dark side of reality TV and the lengths that people will go to for fame and fortune. The film is directed by Maurice Devereaux and stars Timothy Muskatell, Angela Berliner, and Tony Curtis Blondell.
