Rink Rivals: The Female Coach

Comedy  United States of America

In Slap Shot 2: Breaking the Ice, the Hanson Brothers are still playing for the Charlestown Chiefs, a minor league ice hockey team. However, the team is struggling financially and is sold to a new owner, who has plans to turn them into a profitable franchise.

The new owner, a woman named Richmond Claremont (played by Jessica Steen), shakes up the team by appointing herself as the coach. This causes some unease among the players, who are not used to having a female coach.

To make matters worse, the Chiefs are placed in a league with the Halifax Highlanders, a team that is known for its flashy and theatrical style of play. The Highlanders are similar to the Harlem Globetrotters and have no problem humiliating their opponents on the ice.

Despite the odds stacked against them, the Chiefs begin to improve under Richmond's guidance. They manage to win some games and even develop a rivalry with the Highlanders.

However, when the Chiefs' star player, Sean Linden (played by Stephen Baldwin), is injured, the team's hopes of making it to the playoffs are in jeopardy. With their season on the line, the Hanson Brothers come up with a plan to beat the Highlanders at their own game.
