Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow is a science fiction adventure film set in an alternate 1939, where giant robots are attacking major cities around the world. Sky Captain (played by Jude Law) is a dashing and heroic pilot who has his own private air force that he uses to defend New York City from the robots.
As the attacks spread and become more frequent, Sky Captain's ex-girlfriend, journalist Polly Perkins (Gwyneth Paltrow), begins investigating the disappearances of prominent scientists. As they get closer to their goal, Sky Captain and Polly become embroiled in a conspiracy that threatens the entire world. With the fate of humanity hanging in the balance, they must engage in a thrilling aerial battle against the robots and their evil creator.
