Skipping Stones is a drama film that follows the story of Amanda and David, who are struggling to come to terms with the death of Amanda's younger brother, Charlie. Charlie was killed in a tragic accident while attempting to skip stones across a lake with David.

As the years pass, Amanda and David find themselves trapped in their grief, unable to move on and haunted by the memories of Charlie. Amanda, in particular, is struggling with feelings of guilt and regret for not being able to save her brother.
