The hunter, named Jake, initially believes that looting the burial site will lead to great wealth and success. However, upon releasing the Skinwalker, he quickly realizes the grave mistake he has made. The demon begins terrorizing the local community, taking on different forms and causing chaos wherever it goes.
As the Skinwalker wreaks havoc, a group of unlikely heroes bands together to try and stop it. This group includes a local historian and expert in Native American folklore, a skeptic who becomes a believer after witnessing the demon's transformations, and a young Indigenous woman who has a personal connection to the burial site. Together, they must race against time to find a way to banish the Skinwalker before it consumes all in its path.
As they delve deeper into the legend of the Skinwalker, they uncover dark truths about the history of the land and the consequences of disturbing sacred sites. Along the way, they must confront their own fears and past traumas, as the Skinwalker preys on their vulnerabilities.
In a final showdown, the group faces off against the Skinwalker in a desperate bid to save their community and put an end to the demon's reign of terror.
