Stephanie and Ben have been dating for only six months, yet they are madly in love and decide to get engaged. However, their excitement is short-lived as Stephanie's parents express concern that the couple may be moving too fast. Stephanie's sister, Margaret, is thrilled for her but also worries that Stephanie may be making a mistake.
As the date for the wedding approaches, tensions rise between Stephanie and her parents, who refuse to pay for the wedding and send her abroad instead.
