Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit, released in 1993, is a musical comedy film directed by Bill Duke and starring Whoopi Goldberg as Deloris Van Cartier. It is the sequel to the 1992 hit movie Sister Act.

In this film, Deloris is living in Las Vegas and performing under the name of Sister Mary Clarence. She is approached by Sister Mary Lazarus, who asks her to return to her old convent and help with teaching music at a struggling Catholic school in San Francisco. The school is in danger of being shut down if it cannot raise enough money in a short amount of time.

Deloris agrees to help, and she becomes the new music teacher for the school. She quickly realizes that the students are not interested in learning music and that they are experiencing many personal issues that are impacting their performance in school. Deloris takes it upon herself to help the students not only with their music but also with their individual problems.

During this time, the school participates in a national music competition, and Deloris helps the students prepare for the event. They perform a modern and upbeat rendition of "Oh Happy Day" that wows the judges and the audience. The school also receives a surprise visit from Deloris's former lover, Vince LaRocca, who shows up with his goons to take Deloris back to Las Vegas.

In the end, Deloris manages to convince Vince to donate the money needed to keep the school open. The film ends with a celebratory performance by the school choir, which includes the song "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" as a tribute to Deloris.

Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit was a commercial success and received positive reviews for its music and performances, especially from Whoopi Goldberg. The film was also notable for featuring the breakthrough performances of young actors such as Lauryn Hill and Jennifer Love Hewitt.
