In Signed, Sealed, Delivered: The Road Less Traveled, Oliver O'Toole and his team of postal detectives, Shane McInerney, Rita Haywith, and Norman Dorman, are on a mission to deliver a mysterious package that was left unaddressed and lacking a return address. Upon opening the package, they discover a vintage disposable camera from the 1980s that was left in a mailbox and developed the undeveloped photographs.
The photographs reveal pictures of a young boy, and Oliver becomes concerned for the boy's safety as they see evidence of neglect and abuse in the pictures. They set out on a cross-state search to find the boy and ensure his safety, despite facing obstacles along the way, including a lack of information and the possibility of encountering dangerous individuals.
