The movie Sightless follows the story of Ellen, a once successful writer who is viciously attacked and blinded by an unknown assailant. From that moment on, her life changes completely as she becomes a shut-in, living and working out of her apartment, never venturing outside.
Ellen's situation becomes even more challenging as her attacker is not caught and she lives in constant fear of him coming after her again. She becomes paranoid, imagining the attacker lurking around every corner, and begins experiencing nightmares and flashbacks.
Despite her situation, Ellen is determined to regain her independence and cope with her blindness. She enlists the help of a therapist and begins to learn how to navigate her apartment using her other senses. However, things get even more complicated when she begins to suspect that her attacker may be someone she knows and trusts.
As she delves deeper into the investigation, Ellen becomes more and more isolated from the outside world, relying only on a small circle of people she trusts. But when new evidence comes to light, Ellen must decide whether to try and confront her attacker or continue to hide away in fear.
Sightless is a tense and gripping thriller that explores the psychological toll of trauma and the lengths one woman will go to regain her life.
