In Short Circuit 2, Johnny Five, the lovable and sentient robot, is sent to the big city to help his creator, Ben, sell toy versions of him. However, things take a darker turn when Johnny Five is stolen by a group of criminals who want to use him for their own nefarious purposes.
The criminals, led by the greedy Fred Ritter, use Johnny Five to commit robberies, including breaking into a bank vault and stealing a valuable diamond. Johnny Five is reprogrammed to help the criminals, but his inherent kindness and curiosity lead him to question their actions.
Meanwhile, Ben and his new friend, the feisty and street-smart Sandy, are searching for Johnny Five, hoping to rescue him before it's too late. As they piece together clues and follow Johnny Five's trail, they begin to realize the danger he's in.
Johnny Five eventually realizes that he's been manipulated and that his actions have hurt people. He tries to make amends by returning the diamond and helping the police catch the criminals.
In the end, Johnny Five teaches the criminals and even the police officers who doubted him about the value of friendship, kindness, and doing the right thing. The movie is a heartwarming tale of robot awakening and the power of friendship and redemption.
