In Shockwave Darkside, the nanoplague has caused a catastrophic contamination of Earth's water supply, forcing humanity to colonize the Moon. However, the Unlights, a dangerous enemy force, begin to amass on the dark side of the Moon to undertake a massive ice-mining operation, and lunar troops are sent in to stop them.
The story follows a squad of five soldiers who are shot down and find themselves stranded behind enemy lines. With only 36 hours of oxygen left, they must traverse snipers and minefields to reach their extraction point, all while their numbers dwindle and tensions rise.
As they journey through the harsh terrain of the Moon, the soldiers make a shocking discovery that could potentially save their lives and change the course of the war. Along the way, they must confront their fears and the reality of their situation, as they fight to survive in a hostile and unforgiving environment.
