In Shock Treatment, a spiritual successor to the Rocky Horror Picture Show, Janet and Brad find themselves as contestants on the fictional television show "Marriage Maze." The show's host, the manipulative Farley Flavors, convinces the couple to participate in a series of challenges and therapies designed to fix their marriage.

However, things take a dark turn when Flavors reveals that the entire town of Denton, where the show is filmed, is actually a giant television studio, and the citizens are all actors playing out a continuous reality TV show. Janet becomes a sudden sensation, transforming from a meek housewife to a pop star, as the town becomes increasingly obsessed with fame and fortune.

Meanwhile, Brad is committed to the local mental hospital, where he is experimented on and brainwashed by the doctors and nurses. As Brad struggles to regain his memories and escape the hospital, Janet becomes embroiled in a love triangle with Flavors and her longtime friend and collaborator, Cosmo McKinley.

The film explores themes of media manipulation, conformity, and the dark side of celebrity culture. With a soundtrack of catchy songs and an over-the-top aesthetic, Shock Treatment is a cult classic that continues to attract a devoted following.
