Science Fiction,Horror  Canada

Shivers is a 1975 Canadian horror film directed by David Cronenberg. The film is about a group of residents living in a suburban high-rise apartment building who become infected by a parasite that turns them into sex-crazed fiends. The parasite is supposed to serve as a means of controlling the population and creating a new form of life.

The movie begins with a doctor named Roger St. Luc who moves into the apartment complex with his wife. Soon after, he discovers that the complex is overrun by parasites that infect the residents and turn them into violent, sex-crazed individuals. Roger tries to warn the other residents and stop the outbreak, but he is met with skepticism and disbelief.

As the parasites continue to spread, the residents become increasingly violent and out of control. They engage in orgies and sexual acts in public and infect anyone they come into contact with. The situation quickly becomes chaotic and dangerous, with the infected residents attacking and killing anyone who stands in their way.

The film is known for its graphic and controversial content, including scenes of rape and violence. It was heavily criticized upon its release, but has since gained a cult following for its provocative themes and Cronenberg's distinctive style of body horror.
