Shershaah is a Hindi-language biographical war film directed by Vishnuvardhan, with a screenplay and dialogues written by Sandeep Srivastava. The movie stars Siddharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani in lead roles. The film is based on the life of Captain Vikram Batra, an officer of the Indian Army who was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra, the highest wartime gallantry medal, for his actions during the Kargil War in 1999.
