Sherlock, Jr. is a silent comedy film directed by and starring Buster Keaton, released in 1924. Keaton plays the role of a film projectionist who dreams of becoming a detective like his hero Sherlock Holmes. He is also in love with a girl who works as a clerk in a drugstore.

Keaton's character is framed for stealing the pocketwatch of his girlfriend's father by a rival for her affections. Determined to clear his name, he puts his detective skills to work. His dreams take him into the movie screen where he becomes the hero of his own story.

The film is known for its innovative special effects and camera tricks, including a scene where Keaton's character enters the screen and interacts with the movie he is projecting. It also features a thrilling chase scene involving motorcycles and a train.

Sherlock, Jr. was not a commercial success upon its release, but has since become regarded as one of Keaton's greatest works and a classic of silent cinema.
