The movie Shadow People is a 2013 horror/thriller directed by Matthew Arnold. The story revolves around a radio talk show host named Charlie Crowe, played by Dallas Roberts, who stumbles upon a conspiracy theory involving mysterious beings called Shadow People, which seems to be linked to the unexplained deaths of hundreds of victims in the 1980s.

Charlie is initially skeptical of the Shadow People phenomenon, but after receiving a call from a disturbed woman who claims to have seen them, he becomes interested in investigating further. He soon discovers that many people have had similar encounters with the Shadow People, but dismiss them as nightmares or hallucinations.

As Charlie delves deeper into the mystery, he discovers a link between the Shadow People and a sleep disorder known as sleep paralysis. He also learns that the government's involvement in the cover-up of the Shadow People may have played a role in the deaths of many innocent people.

As Charlie gets closer to the truth, he becomes increasingly paranoid and fearful of the Shadow People, who appear to be watching his every move. He enlists the help of a sleep researcher named Sophie Lacombe, played by Alison Eastwood, to try and understand the phenomenon and find a way to stop it.

The movie is a tense and suspenseful thriller that blurs the lines between reality and nightmare as Charlie's investigation leads him down a dark path with chilling consequences.
