Sexy Beast is a 2000 crime thriller film directed by Jonathan Glazer and written by Louis Mellis and David Scinto. It stars Ray Winstone as Gal, a retired safecracker who now lives in a villa in southern Spain with his wife DeeDee (played by Amanda Redman). Gal's peaceful retirement is interrupted when he receives a visit from an old associate, Don Logan (played by Ben Kingsley), a psychotic and aggressive gangster who wants Gal to come out of retirement for one last job.

Despite Gal's initial reluctance, Don's persistent and threatening demeanor puts him under tremendous pressure to accept the job offer. Gal's resistance is also complicated by the fact that Don's impulsive actions have dire consequences for those around him, including Gal's wife DeeDee.

As the tension rises, the film takes on a surreal and hallucinatory quality, with the intense performances of Winstone and Kingsley drawing viewers into the chaotic and unpredictable world of the criminal underworld. The film also features a powerful electronic soundtrack by recording artist and composer Underworld.

Sexy Beast received critical acclaim upon its release, with particular praise for the performances of Winstone and Kingsley. The film was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for Kingsley's performance and is now considered a cult classic of British cinema.
