Seven Chances is a 1925 silent comedy film starring Buster Keaton. The plot revolves around Jimmie Shannon, a stockbroker who learns that he will inherit a fortune if he gets married by 7 p.m. on his 27th birthday, which happens to be that day. Jimmie enlists the help of his best friend to find a woman who will marry him in such a short time. However, his attempts to propose to his girlfriend, Mary, repeatedly fail, and soon he must resort to other means, including placing an ad in the newspaper and crashing a women's athletic club. As the clock ticks closer to 7 p.m., Jimmie's pursuit of a bride becomes increasingly frantic and chaotic. Ultimately, a wild chase scene ensues as dozens of eligible women chase after Jimmie, who is trying to avoid getting married to any of them. The film ends with a dramatic and unexpected twist. Seven Chances is considered one of Keaton's most famous and influential films, known for its inventive gags and impressive physical comedy.
