Sonny (50 Cent) is a proficient criminal and the leader of a band of thieves that includes Vincent (Ryan Phillippe) and Dave (Brett Granstaff). They plan to rob a local diamond dealer who they think is profiting from their business by selling conflict diamonds. However, things go wrong when Vincent unexpectedly shoots the dealer, killing him and setting off a chain of events that end in tragedy.
Vincent, who betrayed the group, takes off with the diamonds, leaving Sonny and Dave to take the blame. Sonny goes to prison for two years, during which he convinces his cellmate, an influential mob boss known as The Pope (Bruce Willis), to help him get revenge against Vincent.
After serving his sentence, Sonny teams up with The Pope and a young hacker named Kris (Randy Couture) to navigate the underground criminal world and track down Vincent and the missing diamonds. Meanwhile, Vincent finds himself in deeper trouble than he anticipated when he tries to sell the diamonds to a ruthless drug lord named Biggs (Jenna Dewan).
Sonny and his team's pursuit of Vincent and their quest for the diamonds result in several confrontations and explosive action scenes. Sonny eventually catches up with Vincent but is faced with a life-changing choice as he discovers the truth behind Vincent's betrayal. In the end, Sonny chooses to break the cycle of violence and seek redemption.
