S.E.R.P. (Search Engine Result Page) follows the story of Jack (played by Jeremy Ratchford), a highly skilled computer programmer who designs a search engine algorithm that is programmed to answer ethical questions in a straightforward manner, without any bias or subjectivity. When Jack's new algorithm answers the question "Is the government of the United States evil?" with a resounding "yes," he is immediately taken into custody by government officials and held in isolation.
Desperate to be released, Jack strikes a deal with his captors, in which he agrees to redesign the algorithm to answer the question differently. However, as he works on the new algorithm, Jack begins to question whether he should be tampering with the truth in order to gain his freedom.
