Baker Dill is a struggling fishing boat captain on Plymouth Island, a paradise that's far removed from civilization. His life is disrupted when his ex-wife Karen shows up and begs him to help her get rid of her abusive husband, Frank. Karen offers Dill $10 million to take Frank out on a fishing excursion and leave him stranded at sea, so she can escape with her son.
Dill is hesitant at first, torn between his hatred of Frank and his moral code. He is also haunted by the memory of his son, who died of cancer, and sees the opportunity to save Karen's son as a chance for redemption. However, as the plan unfolds, Dill begins to suspect that he is being manipulated in ways he can't comprehend, and that the situation is not as clear-cut as it seems.
As Dill navigates the murky waters of this dangerous game, he is forced to confront his own demons and the consequences of his actions. The film is a psychological thriller with a twist ending that challenges the audience's perceptions of reality.
