The movie Senior Year follows the story of Carol Petersen, a former cheerleader who was involved in a car accident when she was a senior in high school. She has been in a coma for the past twenty years and wakes up to find herself in a world that is completely different from the one she remembers.
After a period of adjustment, Carol decides that she wants to go back to her old high school and finish her senior year. Despite the challenges she faces, such as catching up on two decades of schooling and dealing with the social dynamics of high school, Carol is determined to succeed.
As she works towards her goal of becoming prom queen, Carol begins to connect with her classmates and form new friendships. She also rekindles her romance with her high school sweetheart, who is now a successful businessman.
Throughout the movie, Carol must overcome various obstacles, including bullying, academic pressure, and jealousy from her fellow students. Despite these challenges, she remains focused on her goals and emerges as a stronger, more resilient person.
At the end of the movie, Carol is elected prom queen and graduates from high school with honors. She looks back on her journey with pride and appreciation for the second chance she was given to live a full life.
