Seeding of a Ghost is a 1983 Hong Kong horror film directed by Chuan Yang. The film follows the story of a taxi driver named Wong, who accidentally hits a sorcerer with his cab while driving. The sorcerer curses Wong and his family, causing them to suffer from a series of supernatural events.
The film takes a dark turn when Wong's wife is raped and murdered by a group of teenage hooligans. Devastated by the loss of his wife, Wong seeks the help of the sorcerer, hoping to lift the curse and bring his wife back to life.
The sorcerer agrees to help Wong, but warns him of the consequences of using black magic to resurrect the dead. Despite the sorcerer's warning, Wong agrees to go through with the ritual.
As a result, Wong's wife is brought back to life, but as a vengeful zombie with a hunger for human flesh. The couple is forced to flee from the city, pursued by both the police and the vengeful hooligans who killed Wong's wife.
The film is known for its graphic depictions of violence and gore, as well as its commentary on the consequences of revenge and the dangers of using dark magic. Despite its controversial themes, Seeding of a Ghost has since gained a cult following and is considered a classic of Hong Kong horror cinema.
