See No Evil, Hear No Evil is a 1989 comedy film directed by Arthur Hiller and starring Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor. David Lyons (Wilder) is a mild-mannered deaf man who runs a newsstand in New York City. Wally Karue (Pryor) is a blind man who visits the newsstand to buy a lottery ticket. The two strike up a conversation and become friends.

One day, a woman named Eve (Joan Severance) enters the shop and asks David for directions. While he is helping her, a man comes in and shoots Eve. David doesn't hear the gunshot and is unaware that a murder has taken place. Wally, who is outside and heard the shot, rushes into the shop to investigate. He doesn't see the killer, but does see Eve's body on the ground. The police arrive and arrest both David and Wally, believing that they are the killers.

While in jail, David and Wally realize that they need to work together to clear their names and find the real killer. They escape from jail and embark on a wild adventure to track down the killer and clear their names. Along the way, they encounter a variety of obstacles, including a group of mobsters who are also after the killer.

As the police and the mob close in on them, David and Wally use their unique abilities to outsmart their pursuers and solve the case. In the end, they are able to clear their names and bring the real killer to justice.
