Scream VI picks up after the events of the previous film, which saw Ghostface terrorize the town of Woodsboro once again. The four survivors - Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell), Dewey Riley (David Arquette), Gale Weathers-Riley (Courteney Cox), and Judy Hicks (Marley Shelton) - are all traumatized from their experiences and decide to leave the town behind and start anew.

The movie takes place several years later, with the survivors living in different parts of the country. However, the peace is short-lived when a new string of murders begin to occur in different parts of the country, all with similarities to the original Ghostface killings.

Sidney, Dewey, Gale, and Judy are forced to come together once again to confront their past and stop the new killer before they harm anyone else. Along the way, they encounter new characters, including a group of teens who may hold the key to solving the mystery.

As they investigate the new killings, the survivors must also confront their own personal demons and traumas from the past. The movie explores themes of trauma, survivorship, and the lasting effects of violence.

Scream VI is directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, with a screenplay by James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick. The movie features a returning cast of Neve Campbell, David Arquette, Courteney Cox, and Marley Shelton, as well as new additions to the franchise.
