In Scary Movie 2, a group of college students are invited to stay at Hell House by their professor, who wants them to investigate the paranormal activity rumored to be occurring there. The group includes Cindy, the main character from the first Scary Movie, as well as several new characters, such as Shorty and Buddy.
As soon as they arrive at the mansion, strange things begin to happen, from objects moving on their own to ghostly apparitions appearing out of nowhere. Soon, it becomes clear that they are not alone in the house, and that a malevolent force is stalking them.
As the students try to find a way out of the house, they are terrorized by a variety of horror movie tropes, including possessed dolls, demonic possession, and creepy children. Along the way, they also encounter a cast of eccentric characters, including a psychic who communicates with the dead, a wheelchair-bound scientist obsessed with the supernatural, and a chimp with a penchant for violence.
Scary Movie 2 is filled with references to classic horror movies, including The Exorcist, Poltergeist, and The Haunting. It also features a number of cameos from well-known actors, such as James Woods and Chris Elliott. Overall, the movie is a hilarious spoof of the haunted house genre, filled with over-the-top gags, slapstick humor, and plenty of scares.
