Scandal Makers is a South Korean comedy-drama film directed by Kang Hyeong-cheol. The film stars Cha Tae-hyun as Nam Hyeon-soo, a former teen idol who is now in his thirties and works as a radio DJ. Nam Hyeon-soo has spent most of his life avoiding responsibility and living a carefree, single life. One day, his life is turned upside down when a young girl named Jeong-nam (played by Park Bo-young) shows up at his doorstep claiming to be his daughter.
Initially, Nam Hyeon-soo is skeptical about the girl's claim, but after verifying it with a DNA test, he realizes that he is indeed her biological father. To make matters worse, Jeong-nam also has a son who she claims is Hyeon-soo's grandson. Hyeon-soo's life becomes even more complicated when Jeong-nam's mother threatens to go public with the news of his secret children.
Jeong-nam and her son move in with Nam Hyeon-soo, and he tries his best to be a good father to them while still maintaining his public image. However, as he spends more time with his newfound family, he begins to realize that he has been missing out on the joys of fatherhood. With the help of Jeong-nam and his radio show co-host, Hyeon-soo learns to be a responsible father and ultimately reunites with his own estranged father.
Scandal Makers is a heartwarming and comedic film that explores the themes of family, responsibility, and redemption. The film was a box office success in South Korea and was later remade in China as Love The Way You Are.
