After his failed attempt to get a miracle cure for his cancer, John Kramer returns to his twisted ways, targeting the individuals responsible for the medical scam in Mexico. He constructs intricate and lethal traps, using his genius-level intellect to ensure each of his victims has the opportunity to escape, but only if they can solve his depraved puzzles.
Simultaneously, we see the story of a young woman, Emily, who is battling her addiction to opioids. Emily's story comes to a head when she was mistakenly lured into a trap meant for one of Kramer's intended victims. Now, Emily must face her addiction demons while trying to solve the deadly game laid out before her.
As Kramer's game progresses, Emily discovers the connection between the victims and the medical scam, and a thrilling race against time begins to uncover the plot's mastermind. However, each step towards solving the mystery results in a new and increasingly deadly trap.
Ultimately, Emily and Kramer's paths cross, and the film ends with a brutal and shocking twist that ties the events of Saw X into the now-iconic universe fans of the series love.
