Savages is a crime thriller film directed by Oliver Stone, released in 2012. The film revolves around a love triangle between a pair of marijuana growers, Ben and Chon, and their shared girlfriend, Ophelia, who prefers to be called "O." Together, the trio operates a lucrative small business selling high-quality marijuana in southern California.
Their idyllic life is shattered when they receive a message from the Mexican Baja Cartel, demanding that they join forces in their business. The movie stars Taylor Kitsch as Chon, Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Ben, and Blake Lively as O. The supporting cast includes Salma Hayek as Elena, Benicio del Toro as her head enforcer, and John Travolta as the DEA agent. The film was criticized for its graphic violence and sexual content but praised for its strong performances and direction.
