Savaged, also known as Avenged, is a 2013 horror/action film directed by Michael S. Ojeda. The film stars Amanda Adrienne in the lead role as Zoe, a young deaf-mute woman who is on a road trip to see her boyfriend. Along the way, she inadvertently witnesses a gruesome murder committed by a group of white nationalists who also rape and torture her before leaving her for dead.
As Zoe lays dying, a mysterious Apache shaman appears to her and performs a ritual that resurrects her with the spirit of a vengeful Apache warrior named "Grey Wolf" taking over her body. Now with her new found powers, Zoe becomes an unstoppable force on a mission to seek revenge against those who wronged her and protect the innocent people she encounters along the way.
As she treks through the desert, Zoe/Grey Wolf comes across a small town and discovers that the people there are also being terrorized by the same white nationalists who attacked her. She befriends a local boy, Jake (played by Marc Anthony Samuel), who helps her understand her new powers and teaches her how to use them to fight back against her enemies.
Savaged is a brutal and intense movie that doesn't shy away from graphic violence or disturbing imagery. It also addresses themes of racial injustice and the mistreatment of minorities, especially Native Americans. The film has received mixed reviews but is praised for its unique premise and Adrienne's performance as the vengeful Zoe/Grey Wolf.
