Justice for the Innocent: A Vigilante's Revenge

Action,Crime,Thriller  United States of America

Savage Streets is a 1984 American vigilante action film directed by Danny Steinmann and starring Linda Blair as Brenda, a tough street girl who seeks revenge against a group of violent teenage boys who attacked her handicapped sister and killed her best friend. The film begins with a group of high school seniors who call themselves "The Scars," led by their sadistic leader, Jake (Robert Dryer).

After a minor altercation with Brenda and her friends, The Scars decide to exact revenge by attacking Brenda's sister, Heather (Linnea Quigley), who uses a wheelchair due to a previous accident. During the attack, Heather is raped and left comatose while Brenda's best friend, Francine (Lisa Freeman), is killed.

As Brenda tries to come to terms with what has happened, she decides to take matters into her own hands and seek revenge against The Scars. She starts by stealing a crossbow from a sporting goods store and then targets The Scars one by one, killing them with deadly accuracy.

Meanwhile, Brenda's boyfriend, Jake (Johnny Venocur), and his younger brother, Vince (Sal Landi), try to stop her before she goes too far. The tension between Brenda and Jake comes to a climax when they have a final confrontation in an abandoned warehouse, where Brenda ultimately gets her revenge.

Savage Streets is known for its use of violence and gore, particularly in the scenes where Brenda hunts down The Scars. It also features a memorable soundtrack, including the hit song "Nothing's Gonna Stand in Our Way" by John Farnham. Despite mixed reviews upon its release, the film has since gained a cult following among fans of 1980s exploitation cinema.
