Sara, the sous chef, has been feeling stuck in her relationship with her boyfriend, David. She loves him, but something is missing. One day, while David is away on a business trip, Sara is tasked with creating a special holiday menu for the restaurant. As she searches for inspiration, she meets Ben, a charming and handsome maple farmer who is delivering ingredients to the restaurant.
Their instant connection is undeniable, but Sara is still hesitant because of her commitment to David. When a snowstorm hits, Sara gets stranded at the restaurant with Ben, and they end up spending the night together. Despite their undeniable chemistry, Sara feels guilty for betraying David and decides to break things off with Ben.
But when David shows up unexpectedly and proposes to Sara on Christmas Eve, she realizes that her heart isn't in it and that she needs to follow her own path. She breaks up with David and goes to find Ben, who she knows is the one for her.
In the end, Sara and Ben end up together and open their own restaurant, using the maple syrup from Ben's farm as a key ingredient in their dishes. The movie ends with a happy holiday celebration, complete with delicious food and the warmth of new love.
