The movie is set in 1995, South Korea, and follows the story of three women - Lee Ja-young, Shin Yoo-na, and Sim Bo-ram. The three of them are employees of Samjin Company, a small electronics manufacturing company, and have been working there for six years since graduating from high school. Despite their hard work, they face discrimination and lack of opportunities for growth due to their lower educational qualifications.

Realizing that this could be their chance to move up the corporate ladder, Ja-young, Yoo-na, and Bo-ram decide to enroll in an English class together.
