Drama  France,Germany,Italy

Salon Kitty is a 1976 erotic drama film directed by Tinto Brass and starring Helmut Berger, Ingrid Thulin, and Teresa Ann Savoy. The film is based on the true story of the Salon Kitty scandal, where the Nazi regime set up a brothel in Berlin to gather intelligence by filming sexual encounters between prostitutes and high-ranking German officials.

Kitty (Thulin) runs Salon Kitty, a high-class brothel that caters to the needs of the German officers. Unbeknownst to her, an SS official named Wallenberg (Berger) has arranged for the establishment to be fitted with hidden microphones and cameras to spy on the clients. Wallenberg intends to use the incriminating footage to blackmail high-ranking Nazi officials, including Adolf Hitler himself.

Margherita (Savoy), a young woman with connections to the resistance, discovers Wallenberg's scheme and teams up with Kitty to expose the conspiracy. Together, they devise a risky plan to switch the tapes with fake ones and hand them over to the resistance, hoping to cripple the Nazi regime from within.

The film features a graphic depiction of sex and violence, as well as controversial political themes. It caused controversy upon release, with some critics hailing it as a provocative masterpiece while others denounced it as exploitative and obscene. Despite this, it has since gained a cult following for its unflinching portrayal of the Nazis' depravity and the lengths one must go to resist them.
