The film follows the two sisters, Lexi and Theresa, as they navigate their grief in different ways - Lexi immersing herself in the local music scene, and Theresa retreating into her work as a nurse. As they begin to spend more time together, they rediscover their bond through the music that their mother had introduced them to.
Lexi, a talented singer and performer, convinces Theresa to join her in creating a music group to compete in the annual town music competition.
