Barry Kane, played by Robert Cummings, is a worker at an aircraft factory in California during World War II. When a fire breaks out at the factory and one of his co-workers dies, Kane becomes the prime suspect. He flees the scene to clear his name and find the actual culprits.

Throughout his journey, Kane meets a variety of characters including a blind musician and a young woman who assists him in his search. He also comes across a group of saboteurs who are planning to blow up key American targets.

Kane's path eventually leads him to New York City where he confronts the head of the saboteur group, played by Otto Kruger, atop the Statue of Liberty in a thrilling climax.

Saboteur was directed by Alfred Hitchcock and released in 1942. It was one of the first films to explore the idea of domestic terrorism and remains a classic example of Hitchcock's suspenseful storytelling.
