Rushed follows Barbara O'Brien, played by Siobhán Fallon Hogan, as she deals with the aftermath of her son, Christian's death due to a hazing incident at a college fraternity. She becomes obsessed with seeking justice for her son's death and travels around the country to record other mothers who have lost their sons due to hazing, collecting evidence to prove the university's liability in Christian's death.
However, Barbara quickly discovers that there are individuals who are trying to cover up the truth about what happened to Christian, and she soon finds herself facing corruption and a web of secrets and lies. As she delves deeper into the case, she becomes determined to seek revenge on the person she believes is truly responsible for her son's death.
Throughout the film, we see Barbara's descent into darkness as her obsession for justice turns into a need for revenge, showing the devastating impact that grief can have on a person. The film also highlights the dangerous culture of hazing and the impacts it can have on families and communities.
