The two-part "Final Chapter" of the live-action film adaptation project based on Nobuhiro Watsuki's action jidaigeki manga series Rurouni Kenshin will be released in 2020. The first part, titled "The Final," will hit theaters in Japan on July 3, while the second part, titled "The Beginning," is set to premiere on August 7. The films will feature Kenshin Himura, a former legendary assassin who decides to use his sword to protect the innocent after the Meiji Restoration in Japan. The main cast from the previous films, including Takeru Sato as Kenshin, will return for the final chapter. The films are directed by Keishi Otomo, who also helmed the previous films in the series.
