Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno is a Japanese action-adventure movie released in 2014. It is based on the manga series of the same name written by Nobuhiro Watsuki. The movie is directed by Keishi Ōtomo and produced by Warner Bros Japan.
The movie begins with Kenshin and Kaoru living a peaceful life in Tokyo. However, their peace is short-lived as they receive a request from the Meiji government regarding the dangerous Makoto Shishio. Shishio, a former hitman like Kenshin, was betrayed and set on fire, but he survived and has now become a dangerous threat to the new government.
Shishio, with the help of his gathered warriors, is planning to overthrow the Meiji government and bring back the era of the Shogun. Kenshin, against the wishes of his friends, including Kaoru, decides to go to Kyoto and stop Shishio.
In Kyoto, Kenshin meets old friends like Sanosuke and Saitō, who join him in his quest against Shishio. Along the way, they also meet new foes, including Soujiro, a skilled swordsman who works for Shishio.
The movie progresses with intense sword fights and action sequences as Kenshin and his friends battle Shishio's army. They soon realize that they are up against a formidable opponent and must use all their skills to defeat him.
As the movie reaches its climax, Kenshin and Shishio engage in a deadly sword fight that will determine the fate of Japan. To find out what happens, you will have to watch Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno.
