Kate, who is a successful businesswoman, is set to marry her longtime boyfriend, Alex. However, the stress of the wedding and the pressure to fulfill her parents' expectations cause her to have doubts about the marriage. When she realizes that she doesn't want to go through with the wedding, she decides to run away.
Kate ends up at a ski resort, where she meets ski patrol rescuer, Jason. Despite her reservations, Kate finds herself drawn to Jason and the joys of the holiday season as they spend time together on the slopes and around the resort.
